Welcome to a New Year

We spent New Year's in Pagosa Springs to check out the snow at Wolf Creek Resort.

We LOVED it as there were parallel runs suiting us both -- Benjamin got his first shot at blue run moguls and I worked on perfecting my c-turns on a blue/green right next door. There was TONS of snow, Colorado blue sky, and sore cheeks from smiles.

Gotta Love Fifth Grade In Colorado!

Benjamin and I have been taking full advantage of the Colorado Ski Industry’s promotation “5th grade passport” – which offers 3 free days at virtually all Colorado resorts. Even with a late snow start, we’ve been lucky to have a couple days snowboarding at Winter Park and Eldora with friends.

We 'competed' in the 10k road 'race', known as the Bolder Boulder.

Benjamin placed 34,008th out of 49,757 finishers with a blistering pace of 13:24 minutes/mile.

I placed 34,008th, with the same blistering pace. Yes, he beat me.

The winner's time was 28:17 so we need to shave only a bit over an hour off our race to take home the price next year!
